THE NEW CHICANO ARTISTS

A cutting-edge exhibit comes to the Los Angeles County Museum of , entitled: “Phantom Sightings: After the Chicano Movement.” Traditionally Chicano has been defined as created by Americans of descent, politically charged by the Chicano Civil Movement of the ’60s and early ’70s, but this exhibition features a “new breed” of Chicano artists who are more defined by their diversity, than one ethnicity. Paintings, sculpture and make up this unique display, running through September 1, 2008.
